I am Jacob P. Urquhart. If you are curious about my surname, its origins can be found in Scotland. There is a clan Urquhart as well as Castle Urquhart on the shores of Loch Ness where one might spy Nessie. Though it was my ancestors who immigrated, the love for bagpipes remains strong.
I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I enjoy the great outdoors and take none of it for granted. Here I immerse myself in the wonders of nature and find they help feed my imagination. Whether it is by drawing pictures or words, I seek expression beyond the external. As an artist, I strive for realism and to not only capture a subject’s appearance but its very essence. As a writer, I endeavor to build a believable world even if it’s a story of the fantastic. A world not only of people and places but of mind and spirit.
